FAQ
Les détenteurs de passeports de l’UE, des États-Unis, d’Australie et de Nouvelle-Zélande, avec un passeport valide au moins 6 mois après votre date de retour, n’ont pas besoin de visa pour entrer au Maroc à des fins touristiques. Si vous avez un passeport hors UE, nous vous recommandons vivement de vérifier auprès de l’ambassade marocaine la plus proche.
Passinhaber aus der EU, den USA, Australien und Neuseeland mit einem Reisepass, der mindestens 6 Monate nach dem Rückreisedatum gültig ist, benötigen für touristische Zwecke kein Visum für Marokko. Wenn Sie einen Pass außerhalb der EU besitzen, empfehlen wir dringend, bei der nächstgelegenen marokkanischen Botschaft nachzufragen.
Children of all ages are welcome but we do not have specialized childcare facilities.
Tap water is fine for washing and brushing teeth, but we do not recommend that you drink large quantities. Bottled mineral water is cheap (5 Dirhams) and available everywhere.

Le Maroc est un pays musulman libéral. Hommes et femmes peuvent porter shorts et t-shirts. Maillots et bikinis sont de rigueur à la plage, mais la nudité est interdite. Soyez respectueux et discrets en vous changeant. Les femmes devraient éviter les tenues trop révélatrices en ville. Les hommes sont invités à couvrir le torse en rue ou en voiture. Il peut faire froid la nuit, surtout en hiver, donc apportez des vêtements chauds.
Nous préférons que les clients paient leur acompte via PayPal. Le reste du paiement doit être effectué en espèces à votre arrivée.
Le Maroc est desservi par des vols directs depuis les principaux aéroports européens et britanniques. Le vol vers Agadir ou Essaouira dure entre 2 et 4 heures. Depuis l’aéroport international Agadir Al Massira, le trajet en voiture est de 2h30, depuis l’aéroport Essaouira Mogador, c’est 1h30.
Nous organisons un taxi qui vous prendra à l’aéroport d’Agadir ou Essaouira jusqu’au camp de surf, inclus dans le prix du forfait. Pour un court séjour, un taxi peut être organisé mais non inclus (70€ l’aller).
Si vous arrivez à l’aéroport de Marrakech Menara (RAK), le transfert direct coûte 150€. Vous pouvez aussi prendre un bus jusqu’à Essaouira ou Agadir où nous viendrons vous chercher.

EU, US, Australian and New Zealand passport holders with a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date do not require a visa to enter Morocco for tourist purposes. If you hold a passport from outside the EU we strongly recommend that you check with your nearest Moroccan Embassy.
We offer lots of great boards for hire (Softboards, Epoxy Boards and Polyester Boards). Please let us know your wishes. We offer also wetsuits for hire.
Bath towels but not beach towels are available for stays at our surf camp the accommodations. You will need to bring your own beach towels.
Pour louer une voiture, vous devez avoir un permis de conduire européen valide et en possession depuis au moins un an. La loi oblige à avoir toujours permis et documents de location sur soi. La ceinture est obligatoire. L’usage du téléphone au volant est interdit et sanctionné. Des contrôles de police sont fréquents. La conduite se fait à droite. Les routes principales sont récentes mais souvent étroites et parfois accidentées, surtout après la pluie.
Des serviettes de bain sont disponibles dans le camp et les hébergements, mais pas les serviettes de plage. Vous devrez apporter vos propres serviettes de plage.
Nein. Bei einer Buchung für eine Woche (Surf Coaching, B&B) können Sie an jedem Tag anreisen. Taxi vom Flughafen ist im Preis enthalten. Für kürzere Aufenthalte ist Taxi möglich, aber nicht inklusive.
WLAN ist kostenlos in den Unterkünften. Auch in Cafés und Restaurants gibt es freies WLAN.
We prefer if guests pay their deposit via PayPal. The rest of the payment should be done in cash upon your arrival.
The international country code for Morocco is +212 but with a European SIM card we recommend you to use online calls for example via WhatsApp.
Morocco is served by direct flights from major European and UK airports. Flight time to Agadir or Essaouira is between 2-4 hours. From Agadir Al Massira international airport, it’s a 2 hours and 30 minutes drive and from Essaouira Mogador Airport it’s a 1 hour 30 minutes drive.
We will arrange a taxi lift which will take you from Agadir or Essaouira Airport to the surf camp, and we will do the same for your departure. Both are included in the package price. In case you’re coming just for a couple of days, we can still arrange a taxi to pick you up at the airport but it will not be included (70€ each way).
If you arrive at Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK) the direct transfer to the camp will cost 150€. Otherwise you can choose to take a bus to Essaouira or Agadir bus station and we pick you up there.
Morocco is a liberal Muslim country, and men and women are welcome to wear shorts and t-shirts. Swimsuits and bikinis are expected on the beach, but nudity is not. Please be respectful to the local people and be discreet when changing. For women, it is advisable when walking around town or the city not to wear anything too revealing. For men, we recommend covering their upper body while walking in the street and driving cars. It can be cold at night, and trousers and jumpers are needed particularly in mid-winter, so we suggest to bring some warm clothes too.

If you are renting a car, please ensure you have a valid EU driving license that shows you have been driving for at least one year. The law insists that you always carry your license and car hire documents with you when driving in Morocco. Seat belts must be worn at all times and mobile phone use while driving is a finable offense. Police and gendarmerie checkpoints are common along the routes and you must slow down or even stop and wait for them to wave you through. Watch out for police hiding with speed radar. They will stop you and find you an on-the-spot payment. In Morocco, as in Europe driving is on the right. The main roads in the area are relatively new though they are generally narrower and may sometimes have bumps and potholes, especially after periods of rain.
No there isn’t. If you booked a package for a week (Surf Coaching, Bed and Breakfast), you can arrive any day you want. There is free wifi available in the accommodations. There are also cafés and restaurants in the area with free wifi.

Entre Essaouira et Agadir, dans le village de pêcheurs Imsouane. À 100 km des deux villes, 2h30 depuis l’aéroport d’Agadir Al Massira, 1h30 depuis Essaouira Mogador.
Les enfants de tout âge sont les bienvenus, mais nous ne disposons pas de structures spécialisées pour la garde d’enfants.
L’eau du robinet est correcte pour se laver et se brosser les dents, mais nous ne recommandons pas d’en boire en grande quantité. L’eau minérale en bouteille est bon marché (5 Dirhams) et disponible partout.
L’alcool est interdit aux musulmans, et il n’est pas vendu à Imsouane, mais il est disponible à Agadir dans certains magasins. La vente s’arrête à 20h. Quelques bars à Imsouane servent des boissons alcoolisées.
Plus de 300 jours de soleil par an. Novembre à février, petites chances de pluie, mais excellentes vagues d’hiver. Avril à octobre, temps chaud avec petites à moyennes vagues, idéal pour débutants. Température de l’eau : 16-20 °C en hiver, environ 20 °C en été. Nous recommandons une combinaison 3/2 mm en hiver, shorty possible en été.
Serviette de plage, stylo (pour formulaires d’arrivée/départ), maillot, crème solaire (30+, 50+ recommandée pour le surf), lunettes de soleil, tongs, sac de plage, sac plastique (pour combi mouillée), vêtements chauds pour la nuit ou après surf.
Libre à vous. Vous pouvez dîner au camp et vous reposer ou prendre un thé à la menthe au village et découvrir la vie locale.
Le Maroc est en GMT (Casablanca).
Langue officielle : arabe. Le français est largement parlé. En villages, le berbère (Tamazight) est aussi utilisé. Dans les zones touristiques, l’anglais est courant. Notre équipe parle arabe, anglais, français, allemand et tamazight.
La monnaie marocaine est le Dirham (environ 11 DH pour 1 €). Le change est souvent plus avantageux au Maroc. Vous trouverez des bureaux de change et distributeurs à l’aéroport, Agadir et Essaouira. Pas de distributeur à Imsouane, le plus proche est à 30 minutes en voiture à Tamri Beach. Les chèques de voyage ne sont pas recommandés.
Le Maroc utilise du 220 volts avec prises européennes à deux broches rondes. Apportez un adaptateur si nécessaire.
Vous devez avoir une assurance voyage complète avant votre départ. Pro Surf Imsouane Villa décline toute responsabilité pour pertes, vols, dommages ou blessures. En cas de casse de matériel, vous devez le remplacer ou payer son coût. Nous proposons une assurance pour le matériel à 25€/semaine.
Aucune vaccination obligatoire ni traitement anti-paludisme nécessaire. Nous avons un kit de premiers secours et du personnel formé. En cas d’urgence, des hôpitaux se trouvent à Agadir. Les soins sont payants, pensez à votre assurance. Les pharmacies sont nombreuses et bien approvisionnées.
Badehandtücher sind im Camp und den Unterkünften vorhanden, Strandhandtücher müssen mitgebracht werden.

Although Islam forbids the consumption of alcohol by Muslims, and alcohol is not sold in Imsouane, it can be bought in Agadir in some shops. Note that stores stop selling alcohol at 8 pm. There’s the possibility to sit in and have a drink in Imsouane in some bars.
It is your responsibility to obtain adequate travel insurance before your trip. Everyone booking a holiday with Pro Surf Imsouane Villa must have full travel insurance. Pro Surf Imsouane Villa accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, damage or injury to persons or property during your stay. If you damage our provided equipment you have to replace it our cover the costs of replacement.
We offer an insurance for 25€/week for our equipment This insurance will cover all costs due to damaged equipment.
No vaccinations are required for visitors to Morocco and anti-malarial precautions are not necessary. We have first aid equipment along with staff trained in administering first aid. In case of an emergency, there are hospitals and clinics in Agadir. Medical charges will apply according to the treatment received so make sure you have travel insurance before you arrive. Pharmacies in Morocco are plentiful and carry pretty much anything you might need, with lots of medications available without a doctor’s prescription.
It’s really up to you. You can have dinner at the accommodations and relax or you take mint tea in the village and check out the local scene.
The Moroccan currency is the Dirham. Exchange rates are around 11/€. Moroccan Dirhams are not always offered at exchange counters outside of Morocco, and the exchange rate is probably better in the Morocco. You will find the exchange facilities and ATMs at the airport. There are also plenty of ATMs in Agadir or Essaouria. There is no ATM in Imsouane ! The closest ATM is in Tamri Beach, which is away a 30 minutes drive. We do not recommend you bring Traveller’s cheques. They cannot be exchanged at the airport or locally, and there are only a few places in Agadir that will change them (at a disadvantageous exchange rate).
Beach towel, pen (for arrival/departure form at passport control), swimsuit, sunscreen (we recommend 30+, better is 50 for surfing), sunglasses, flip flops, beach bag, plastic bag (for transport of your wet wetsuit), something warm to wear at night or after surf in the beach (especially in wintertime)
Morocco is on 220 volts with European two-pin round plugs. Please bring a plug adaptor, if you expect you will need one.
In Morocco, you will find over 300 days of sunshine a year. Between the months of November to February, there is a small chance of rain. The winter months are famous of their waves. During this time of the year, you will have the chance to surf some of the best waves in the world. The summer months from April to October are full of sunny days. You can find small to medium waves the best time for beginners to start surfing. The water temperature in winter is 16-20°C, in summer it is around 20°C maybe a little bit warmer. We recommend you to surf with a 3/2mm full suit in the wintertime and in the summertime it is possible to surf with a shorty. But it is your personal choice and depends on your tolerance. Most of our surf school wetsuits are 3/2 full suits.
Pro Surf Imsouane Villa Morocco is based in between the two cities of Essaouira and Agadir in a small fisherman village called Imsouane. We are around 100 km from both cities, and it’s 2 hours and 30 minutes drive from Agadir Al Massira international airport and a 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Essaouira Mogador Airport.
The official language in Morocco is Arabic, but the majority of Moroccans also speak French. In small villages, the local Berber population speaks Tamazight as well. In tourist areas, the majority of Moroccans speak a good level of English too. Our staff members speak Arabic, English, French, German and Tamazight.
